Jacqueline A. Terrasi, 80 years old of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly at 4:44 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Beaumont Hospital Trenton. Born February 24, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Holewinski) Koprowski. Jacqueline graduated from Waite High School in Toledo. She married Angelo M. Terrasi on July 12, 1958 at St. John Catholic Church, Toledo. Sadly, after fifty-six years of marriage, he preceded her in death on August 29, 2014. After her marriage, Jacqueline moved to Monroe with her husband where the two began their life together. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as a cook for the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Mary Grade School as a Librarian and Lunch Aid. Jacqueline was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Monroe, since moving to Monroe in 1958 and Ladies of the Moose for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to dinner with family and friends, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, siblings, relatives and friends. To cherish her memory, Jacqueline leaves three children: Karen (Edward) Meyer of Monroe, Gloria Graves of Temperance and David (Victor) Terrasi of Bay City, Michigan; one brother, Jerry Koprowski of Toledo; one sister-in-law, Connie Koprowski of Toledo; ten grandchildren: Jessica (Richard) Crutchfield, Michael Graves II, Jaclyn Graves, Mitchell (Marisa) Graves, Jenna Graves, Benjamin Meyer, Nicholas Meyer, Jordan Gardner, Sydney Gardner and Adriane Gardner; six great-grandchildren: Luke Thomerson, Layne Thomerson, Lola Martell, Liam Martell, Angelo Graves and Leonardo Graves; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline is preceded in death by one brother, William Koprowski. Memorial contributions in her memory are suggested to Oaks of Righteousness, Monroe. Visitation will be held from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019, at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI, 48161. She will lie in state at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the church pastor, Rev. Fr. David Burgard, at 11 a.m. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow and Jacqueline’s remains will be inurned with her husband at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe, at a later date.
