Elizabeth “Jayne” Miller Pace passed away on July 1, 2019 and was born on August 5, 1934. A driven personality, she moved to Ann Arbor by herself at the age of 16 as she worked during the day and received her high school diploma from Pioneer night school. She went on to receive an associate’s degree in computer science from Washtenaw Community College. She was employed at both Cunningham Drugs during the 1970’s and retired from Environmental Research Institute with 18 years and T.J. Maxx with 29 years of service. Jayne believed in the Lord and as a child, enjoyed Sunday school with her sisters. She liked reading mysteries and true crime books. Jayne broadened her horizons by traveling and she also loved golfing at Brookside Golf Course! Jayne treasured her friends and had extensive humor. She is survived by her youngest son, Mark Allen Pace of Murfreesboro, TN; grandsons, Travis Allen Pace and Vaughn; granddaughter, Annette Nicole Pace; daughter-in-law, Anita Pace of Ann Arbor, MI; her sisters, Mary Lorretta Walker, Ruby Dee Cease, Peggy Noblit, and Katherine Blackburn; and several nieces and nephews. Jayne was preceded in death by her oldest son, John Michael “Mike” Pace and her youngest sister, Bobbie White. Jayne remained extremely close to the entire Pace family.
