Funeral services for Mrs. Cassandra Kaye Crisp-Jones are scheduled for Saturday ar 2:00 p.m. in the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Mrs. Jones was born on December 5, 1945 to the parentage of the late Orelous and Velma Griffin in Lufkin, Texas and died on July 13, 2019 in Lufkin, Texas. Cassandra was a resident of Lufkin where she attended the Lufkin Independent School District and was a graduate of Dunbar High School Class of 1964. She was a member of the Dunbar Tigers Band where she was a Majorette. Upon graduating from high school, Cassandra attended Texas Southern University in Houston , Texas, and later attended Angelina College. She had been employed at South Bank of the Southwest as a Teller in Houston, Texas for many years. Cassandra was of Baptist Faith. Her livelihood consisted of sewing and she was an avid seamtress and lover of fashions. She was a very family oriented individual who loved spending quality time with her family. Cassandra was a loving mother and grandmother. She also loved her dogs Princess and Prince and acknowledged them as part of the family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors: Children, Derrick Johnson of Houston, Texas, Norman Crisp of Lufkin, Texas, Reginald Crisp of Austin, Texas; A wealth of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Many loving and caring friends. She is preceded in death by: Parents, Orelous and Velma Griffin; Son, Jerone Jones; Siblings, O.G. Griffin, Jr., Thurman Griffin, Zarnoff Griddin, T.C. Griffin and Glenn Griffin.
