Connie’s Obituary On Friday, July 19, 2019, Connie Marvel Lewis Crawford, passed away at the age of 79. Connie, the first of eight children was born on December 9, 1939 to Marvin and Edna Lewis in the East Fairview Community near Konawa, Oklahoma. On March 9, 1956, she married Elmo Crawford in Konawa, Oklahoma. In 1960, Connie and Elmo moved to Seaside, California. In 1970, they moved to Enid Oklahoma to be closer to family where they remained for the next 28 years. They were married for 58 years and raised two children, Debra and David. Connie and Elmo moved to the Pauls Valley area in 1998 to be near their two grandchildren, Madeleine and Mitchell Crawford. Connie spent most of her life raising her children and caring for the home. She loved decorating and was constantly moving the furniture around in her home despite the complaints of Elmo and David who had to help her in her monthly furniture rearranging. Jesus was first in Connie’s life and this was evident by her sweet gentle spirit. Connie loved as Jesus by accepting and unconditionally loving her family, friends, and acquaintances. She was a mighty prayer warrior and sought the face of Jesus daily. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Edna Lewis and her loving husband, Elmo. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie and son-in-law Lee Coburn and son, David and his wife Marnie Crawford and grandchildren Madeleine Williams and Mitchell Crawford. She is also survived by all her siblings: Eddie Lewis and his wife, Daisy, Larry Lewis and his wife, Evelyn, Carlton Lewis, Virginia Sams and her husband Ricky, June Hulsey and husband Teddy, Judy Jump and husband Kenny, Gene Lewis and his wife Marlyn. Connie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Paoli Pentecostal Church Youth Building Project. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10:00 am at Paoli Pentecostal Church officiated by Pastor Terry Erwin and Rev. Jack Garrison. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
