Alexander (Sandy) Reid Murray passed away on April 3, 2019 in Boiling Springs, SC. He was 84 years old. Born in Bath to Horace Freeman and Beryl Eileen (Reid) Murray of Tarbox Hill, he was the last surviving of five siblings; Horace (Sykes) Murray of Gardiner, Barbara Alkazin of Florida, Gordon Murray and Helen Brown of Brunswick. Sandy worked at odd jobs until he joined BIW in his late twenties. He retired in 1996 after thirty-plus years of service. He was a craftsman and a poet, a musician and a friend, a kind man and a servant of God. He was blessing to all who knew him. He will be missed by his children; Gordon and his wife Becky of Vassalboro Maine, daughter Sandra Foss of Vassalboro, Bruce Warner and wife Michelle of Raymond, Maine, Craig and wife Cynthia of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, and son Reid of El Dorado Hills, California. Also by his Grandchildren; Ben and Crystal Foss, Heidi Jennings, Pace and Baxter Murray, Kaleigh Warner, and several great-grandchildren. Services to be announced in July 2019.
