Obituary Ms. Misty LaMar Lee Martin, age 35 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel. Burial will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens. Misty was born October 2, 1985 in Wilkes County to Jimmy Lee Martin Jr. and May Magdaline Becknell Martin. She is survived by her parents; a sister; Jacqueline Martin, maternal grandmother; Ruth Becknell Parks, paternal grandmother; Delores Graham Martin, niece; Jazlynn Amya Caul, nephew; William Lee Boyd III, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Misty loved running track, and she was on the team that holds the 4×100 relay record set in 2003 at Wilkes Central High School where she was also an honor student. She had a love for children and always made sure to share her dinosaur passion with them. She also was fascinated with history and enjoyed researching beyond what she was taught in school. Misty also loved her Converse shoes and collected them in all different colors and designs. Misty was a member of New Direction Ministries in North Wilkesboro, where she accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ, as her savior on January 12, 2019 and was baptized on January 19, 2019. She was a beautiful soul whose sense of humor made everyone’s life a little brighter. She had a gift for reaching people in a positive way, making anyone smile or laugh with her hilarious Facebook memes. Misty loved family and was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and aunt. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who had an opportunity to know her. Flowers will be accepted.
