Judith’s Obituary Judith R. Owens, 83, of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was born September 3, 1937 in Batesville, Indiana the daughter of Michael J. and Rosina M. (Tekulve) Gindling. Judy graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy in Oldenburg, Indiana. She retired on October 1, 2009 as ward secretary after 36 years of service at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella, and the Greensburg Adult Center. She was married to Dale E. Owens on June 22, 1959 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1999. She is survived by two children, Tony (Laura) Owens and Lisa (Rick) Chambers both of Greensburg; one brother, Dan (Delores) Gindling, Greensburg; one sister, Carmie (Tom) Meyer, Batesville; seven grandchildren, Erica (Keith) Kramer, Jared (Jordan) Owens, Jessica (Matt) Sanchez, Taryn (Kie) Owens, Paige Owens and Austin, Derek Chambers, Clare Owens; nine great grandchildren, Amare`, Kyrie, Nora, Liam, Eli, Prentice, Sutton, Atlee, and Crew. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one brother, Michael P. Gindling; two sisters, Joy Prickel and Mary Lou Dwenger. A private Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating and will be broadcast on the funeral home Facebook page on Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
