Mr. Donavon F. Rideaux Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell, LA, for Mr. Donavon F. Rideaux, 50, who entered eternal rest, Friday, December 25, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System. Rev. Borgia Aubespin, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial. Mr. Rideaux is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stephanie Chavis Rideaux of Opelousas, LA; father, Leroy Stephens of Houston, TX; three sons, Donovan Lafountain of Opelousas, LA, Floyd Ford, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Adam Bryant of Opelousas, LA; three daughters, Amaysa Rideau of Opelousas, LA, Miaya Bryant of Opelousas, LA and Ramonica Hollins of Monroe, LA; a brother, Kirk Stephens of Pecos, TX; a sister, Yvonne Robins – Alexander of Opelousas, LA; seven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a special group known to him as “his boys”. Mr. Rideaux was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Rose Rideau; a sister, Deborah Rideau and maternal grandparents, Otis & Louise Rideau.
