Dateline Jasper, Indiana Mary Ann Bohnert, age 81 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away on April 26, 2020 at Grand Brook Care Center in Zionsville, Indiana. Mary Ann was born in Jasper, Indiana on October 1, 1938 to Linus and Clara (Burger) Mehringer. She married James P. Bohnert, her husband of 57 years on September 15, 1960 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2017. She was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper for a tree nursery. Mary Ann was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana. She enjoyed watching sports, especially IU, Purdue, and the Colts, enjoyed gardening and spending time in the outdoors, watching birds and nature, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are one daughter; Michelle King (Ed) of Carmel, one son; Anthony James “Tony” Bohnert (Mary Lacey), Richmond, IN, two grandchildren, Serena and Zachery King of Carmel, two sisters; Mel Snyder (Ron), and Elaine Streicher (Gary) both of Jasper, and one brother; Jerry Mehringer (Barb), Tell City. Preceding her in death beside her husband were two brothers; Jim and Donnie Mehringer. Private funeral services will be held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes in Jasper, with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
