Sympathies message

  1. My father Henry or “Hank” as many friends called him was a true character who could make you smile and laugh whenever you were in his company. He was a very social person who loved conversation and social entertainment all around norwood or anywhere he was. He was a good inspiration to all who knew him especially me his son. He reflected on his life regularly and made meaningful changes which made our relationship as father and son what I’ve always wanted. He has been through a lot in life and tragedy as a child but over came those hurdles and joined the navy and served his country honorably and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to tell him many times how proud of him I am, I miss him every day but most of all like many families we had our differences but with both our love and dedication to one another we made our relationship everything we both had always wanted and I will always love my father for many reasons but the most important was the day we both truly connected and he told me he was proud of me as his son and that he loved me and that was at a time in my life that I really needed that acceptance. Our many late nights talking well into the am hours with a nice stiff drink together and his hugs and his smell of old spice after shave will always be with me as I have his last 5 bottles that I use when I want him near me and it brings back all those hugs he gave me each time we were with each other out on the town or just sitting in the Walpole park just enjoying the weather, I miss you so much dad and I am proud of you as my father and my friend, we will have more good times when we meet again except the next drink is on me. God accept him into your kingdom and forgive him his sins as he is worthy of your Paradise. I miss you so much
