Obituary Eager to meet her Savior, Marjorie Evelyn Kalkstine of Grand Rapids, MI entered Heaven on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Marge was born in 1925, to Richard and Marguerite Heeringa of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Bradford Tolsma. She spent her life as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her thoughtfulness and daily prayers for her family will be immensely missed. She worked for many years in office and retail management. After retirement she became lovingly known to many as the “Shoe Box Lady” because she spent many years volunteering for the Samaritan’s Purse West MI “Operation Christmas Child” project. Marge will be greatly missed by her loving family: sons, Gary [Sharon] Tolsma of Newago, David Tolsma of Grand Rapids, Ed [Mary] Tolsma of Jenison, and Mark [Liz] Tolsma of Allendale. More than anything, Marge loved and delighted in her 12 grandchildren: Todd [Shelia] Tolsma, Erin Collings, Kimberle [Cary] Collet, Matthew [Laurie] Tolsma, Holly [Kim] Elders, Jeff [Jody] Tolsma, Jamie [Chad] Stiles, Jon [Andria] Tolsma, Lisa [Jason] Kaiser, Rachael Constantine, and Mary Kay Tolsma. She also had 38 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Marge is survived by her sister, Delores VanderMark of Grand Rapids. The family would like to thank the staff at Raybrook Home for the loving care Marge received throughout her last years. A graveside memorial service will be held for the immediate family with internment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Grand Rapids.
