She passed away peacefully from this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Beloit. She attended Beloit Jr-Sr High School and graduated with the Class of 1975. Following her high school graduation, she attended NCK Vo-Tech in Beloit. She married Joseph Krone in July of 1975. In this union of 18 years, three children were born: Travis, Jamie, and Jacob. While her children were young, Lois ran a daycare service for many years. On April 1, 1988, Joe and Lois opened Krone’s Service Center. After leaving the business, she worked in the kitchen at the NCK Vo-Tech. Later on, with the completion of her CAN class, she worked at Hilltop Lodge of Beloit, and assisted others with home health. Lois found her passion and touched many lives while taking care of them. While working at Hilltop, she met her significant other, James Brazer III. Besides her children and grandchildren, her joy was her flowers. The love of flowers was a love inherited from her mother. Lois could grow anything! Recently, she turned her hobby into a three-acre oasis – a garden that she loved to show people from all around. Her daylilies grow in gardens around the county. When Lois wasn’t caring for others, or in her garden, she loved antiquing. She could always turn a piece of junk into a treasure. Her treasures were on display in her beautiful red barn at her home. A home when her and James spent countless hours fixing it to the beautiful homestead it is now. A homestead that changed beautifully with the seasons but shined the most at Christmas. Lois will be missed dearly, but her family and friends are truly blessed with all she shared. We will think of Lois when we smell a fresh baked pie, see her flowers blooming in the garden, and see a rainbow after the storm. Memories and conversations always ended with “I love you”. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Dick File. She is survived by her partner, James Blazer III; her children, Travis (Elizabeth) and daughters, Electra, Zelma, and Ivanka, Jamie (Geoff) Jermark and sons, Matthew (Jen), Cooper, Chance, and Carter, and Jacob (Molly) Krone and their daughter Daylyn, all of Beloit; one great grandson, Lane Jermark; her sisters, Pauline (Larry) Schlaefli of Hays, and Irma (Steve) Davison of Washington; sister-in-law, Phyllis File of Beloit; and many nieces and nephews. Family-only funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Friday, April 3 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Due to current gathering restrictions, a limit of no more than 10 people will be allowed at any time. Memorials may be given to the Breast Friends Foundation.
