Dixie’s Obituary Dixie Shaw, 82, of Ozawkie, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was born June 26, 1937 the daughter of Dellmas and Maxine Sisco in Topeka. She was raised in the Oakland neighborhood of Topeka. As a teenager she worked at the Senate Café on Kansas Avenue. She loved living on the farm at Perry, raising rabbits and chickens, growing a garden and flowers. She enjoyed watching “Gunsmoke” on TV. Dixie also enjoyed drinking coffee with family and friends. She had attended Perry Christian Church for many years. As an adult, Dixie had worked at P.N. Hersh Dime Store, Dollar General and at one time as a forklift operator at Goodyear. She was married February 9, 1957 to Naio Rosco Shaw in Topeka. He preceded her in death September 22, 2017. Dixie is survived by three daughters, Tamra Shaw, Luwana McDaniel and Dedra Buckmaster; grandchildren, Charles Freed, Shane Freed, Sheyanne Boeding, Amanda Brandenburg, Meghan Brandenburg, Jay McDaniel, Ashley Buckmaster; and sister, Sandra Ewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dellmas and Maxine; siblings, Jimmie Sisco and Delleen Sisco, and her husband, Naio Rosco Shaw. Cremation is planned.
