God took her home to Him April 3, 2020, from her home in New Braunfels, Texas after a valiant four-year battle with ALS. She was with her family and she is now safe in the arms of God. She was selfless, always thinking of others. She loved everyone and everyone loved her – family, friends and the little children she taught for more than forty years after earning her degree in early childhood education from the University of Tennessee. Katheryn was preceded by her parents, Hunt and Patricia Moore of Memphis, Tennessee and her older brother Jack G. Moore of Memphis, Tennessee. She is survived by her brother Robert F. Moore of Memphis, Ken Stevens, her husband of forty- nine years and her sons Brian Stevens of Austin, Texas and Robert Stevens of San Antonio, Texas and her granddaughters Emery Stevens and Emslie Stevens. A Celebration of Katheryn’s Life in keeping with her Methodist heritage, will be held at the First United Methodist Church of San Marcos, Texas when it is safe for us all to come together to honor her. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that you honor Katheryn’s memory with a donation to ALS Association.
