Obituary Gail Shortlidge Arnold, age 73 of Drexel Hill, passed away on April 26, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen R. and devoted mother of Bethany A. Mandes (Michael). She was the loving grandmother of Natalie Elaine Mandes, who was light of Gail’s life. Gail spent her working years in the group employee benefits industry, working most of her career for Consulting Group Inc, and retired from national insurance broker Willis about 10 years ago. Spending time in the state of Maine was one of Gail’s passions, and she secured her dream, purchasing Moon Bay Cottage on Penobscot Bay in Belfast, ME. She spent many joyous summers there. She also enjoyed antiquing, collecting, reading Victorian mysteries and listening to folk music.
