Williams, age 70, passed away on April 8, 2020 at his residence in Mt. Pleasant. He was born to Billy James Dale and Edna (Ball) Williams on November 13, 1949 in Odessa, Texas. Floyd worked numerous years as a wrecker driver for Billy Craig and was a member at Hillcrest Baptist Church. He also belonged to 5 Star Fire Department. Survived by his wife Shan Williams of Mt Pleasant, mother; Edna Williams of Longview, sons; Marcus Williams and wife Jennifer, Kenneth Williams and wife Bree all of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren; Amanda Phillips and husband Wilson, Jessica Williams, Dakota Williams, Johnathon Williams and Michael Scott Williams, brothers; Frank Williams and wife Lisa of Mt. Vernon, Ronnie Williams and wife Sara of Mt. Pleasant, brother-in-law; Ricky Homer of Longview, sister-in-law; Sherilyn Strawn of Mt. Pleasant, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father; Billy James Dale Williams, sister; Judy Homer. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Old Union Cemetery with Bro Charles Newman and Danny Beard officiating. There is no scheduled visitation, but friends are welcome to come by Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home between 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM to view and sign registry.
