Ms. Wilma Jean Slade May 27, 1942 – July 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation WILMA JEAN SLADE BURLINGTON-Ms. Wilma Jean Slade, 76, of 2627 Lenore Drive, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Moses Cone at Alamance Regional. Wilma was the daughter of Marvin James Slade and Eva Mary Michael Slade, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Lee Slade; her brother, Marvin James Slade, Jr.; and two sisters, Lucy Mae Wade and Marie Slade. Wilma leaves to cherish her memories a devoted niece, Mrs. Linda Watlington of Burlington; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services for Wilma will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Clover Garden AME Church at 12:00 pm with Rev. A.O. Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Slade will lie in state at 11:00 am at the church with the family arriving at 11:30 am and all other times at the home. Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the funeral home from 1-8:00 pm. Alamance Funeral Service has the honor of serving the Slade Family.
