Wanda L. Grubbs, age 80, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 8:12 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019, at her home. Wanda was born October 17, 1938, in Evansville, IN to Cortis Sutton and Henrietta (Whitledge) Shrodes. She attended Bosse High School. She worked at Covann as a cook and worked as a Bartender at Old Kentucky BBQ. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Wanda is survived by her daughters; Karen Robbins, Trudy Weiss (Ted) and Judy Kirby, sisters; Loretta King (David) and Brenda St. Louis (Barry); and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Elwood Shrodes; brother, Elwood “Bubby” Shrodes; and sister; Norma Waters. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dwayne Wallen and to Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Kevin Waters officiating. Burial will be Private. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., until service time at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel. Condolences may be made to the family online at boonefuneralhome.net
