Walter Burt Bryson, 72, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Canton, NC. Mr. Bryson was born in Macon County, NC September 14, 1946 to the late Charles and Mildred Ledford Bryson. Mr. Bryson was in the construction business as a brick mason for many years. He was also a member of All Saints Episcopal Church – St. Cyprian’s Parrish. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Kay Bryson of Franklin; a son, Norman Harris Bryson of Franklin, NC; a sister, Bobbie Bryson of Franklin, NC; four grandchildren, Anthony Bryson, Tracy Bryson, Kindrick Bryson, and Stormy Bryson; two great-grandchildren; and a niece, Jada Bryson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Bryson, Ted Ledford, and Tommy Bryson; and a sister, Yvonne Bryson. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 2, 2019 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Bryant-Grant Funeral Home 105 W. Main St. Franklin, NC 28734.
