Virginia Masfield Rhodus April 11, 1941 – July 31, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Virginia Mansfield Rhodus, 78, of Richmond, the widow of Alvin Dennis Rhodus, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Baptist Health – Richmond. She was born in Madison County, KY on April 11, 1941, to George and Rachel Henry Mansfield, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Richmond. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Gayle Bowlin (Joe) of Richmond; one son, Zachary J. Simpson (Hazel) of Nicholasville; one brother Bobby Mansfield of Indiana; two sisters, Lilly Sparks of Richmond and Jessie B. Howard of Lexington; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Rhodus will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Richmond Cemetery with Pastor Larry Day officiating.
