Tula M. Carpenter, 86 of Fortville, passed away July 16, 2019 in Greenfield, Indiana. She was born June 6, 1933 in Guntersville, Alabama to the late Arnold King and Flora Bell (Austin) Mitchell. Tula was a homemaker, who previously worked at the RCA plant in Indianapolis, the Indiana State Highway Department and at Westminster Village North Retirement Home. She was a member of the Fortville Church of the Nazarene. Tula is survived by her children, Randy Carpenter of South Lebanon, OH; Cheryl (Michael) Pedigo of Glasgow, KY; Pam (Dan)Armbruster of Ingalls, IN; Richard (Melanie) Carpenter of Fishers, IN; and Rodney (Tamara) Carpenter of Fortville; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Robert (Doris) Mitchell of Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kendall “Pete” Carpenter, 6 brothers and 1 sister. A celebration of Tula’s life will be held on Friday July 19, 2019 at 12:30 pm at the Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday July 19, 2019 from 10:30 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple St., Fortville, IN 46040 Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
