Obituary for Therlia Marjory St. Germaine (McLellan ) STACYVILLE – Therlia St. Germaine, 102, died June 28, 2019. Therlia was the last surviving child of 11, born to Elbridge and Idella (Bragg) McLellan, on January 5, 1917. She was married to Leonard St. Germaine for 68 years before losing the love of her life in 2003. Therlia had two beloved daughters, Shirley Sperry and Jeanne Stout. Therlia and Leonard lived most of their lives in Sherman, after Leonard retired from the lumber mill they wintered in Florida for many years where Therlia touched even more lives and found many dear friends. Therlia was an avid reader until her eyesight failed her. She loved to play games, whether playing cards or Parchessi with her sisters or Scrabble with her daughters. Her love of games continued to the very end as she could often be found playing games with all her dear friends at Mountain Heights. Some of the family’s favorite memories are of times spent every year, all together, camping at Matagamon in Baxter State Park. Therlia was her happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Everyone was family or a friend because Therlia never met a stranger. One of her very favorite things to do was cook. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews always looked forward to her delicious cooking, from hearty meals to amazing desserts, all cooked with love. No one ever left Therlia’s home feeling hungry. Her faith was very important to her and brought her a great deal of comfort. Her and Leonard were lifelong active members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sherman, where they were married.
