Stanley Terry Lovins, 74, of Cloverdale, passed away June 27, 2019 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. Born September 26, 1944 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late William Wesley and Laura Emma (Freese) Lovins. Stan was a Tool & Die Mechanic. He had a love for sports, both playing and coaching. He was a 2004 Inducted Member of the (NSA) National Softball Association Hall-of-Fame. He played shortstop and was always wearing a pair of Levi jeans. Stan was an outdoorsman who enjoyed softball, baseball, basketball, and hunting. Survivors include his children, Jodi Fetz (Shawn), Tonda Lovins, Chrissie Barker (Chris), Stan Lovins II (Camille), Bonnie Lovins, Tammie Crisci (Michael); his siblings, Ella Mae Sterrett, Bill Lovins (Effie), Doug Lovins, Kenny Lovins (Arlene), Betty Lewis, Shirley Ingles, Danny Lovins (Kristie), Scottie Lovins (Nicole); 14 grandchildren including Duke Lovins, Link Lovins (Cheriece) and his first grandson, Luke Lovins, who preceded him in death. He also has one great grandchild. Stan accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord on June 9th, 2019! A graveside service Officiated by Stan Lovins II will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N. Holt Rd. Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to SandlotMinistries.com to help offset funeral expenses. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of the arrangements.
