Sr. Mildred Gelis June 23, 1925 – July 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Sr. Mildred (Yvonne) Gelis age 94, of Dade City, passed away Friday, July 26th, 2019. She was born on June 23, 1925, in Slidell, Louisiana, to parents Jean and Lodo (Herbert) Gelis. She was a retired teacher. She studied at Mt. Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas, Loyola University in New Orleans, and did graduate work in Theology at St. John’s University Collegeville, Minnesota. She is survived by many close friends. Friends may call on Friday, August 2 at 7 pm at Holy Name Monastery for the Vigil Service. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 10 am at Holy Name Monastery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Benedictine Sisters of Florida, P.O. Box 2450, St. Leo, FL 33574.
