Ruth’s Obituary Mrs. Ruth Scheffler, age 91, of McDougal, AR., passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Corning Therapy & Living Nursing Home. Mrs. Scheffler was born in Palatka, AR., on May 6,1928. She loved cooking for church potlucks, sewing, listening to gospel music, reading her bible, word search puzzles and going to church. She was a lifelong member of the Apostolic Fellowship Church in McDougal, AR. She is survived by her children Gary Scheffler of McDougal and Sue Roark of McDougal; brother Don Whitehead of Alabama; three sisters JoAnn Wright of Corning, AR. Norma Havron of Peoria, IL. and Louetta Woods of Tennessee. Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Billy Leo Scheffler; parents Edgar and Lille May (Motsinger) Whitehead; brothers Andrew, Leroy, Paul, Meryl Whitehead; sisters Peral Whitehead, Dorothy Beecher. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday July 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Ermert Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Ellis officiating. Burial will follow services at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM until time of service. Read More
