Ruth Evelyn Kennedy of Mineral Point, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 18 , 2019 having reached the age of ninety-two years, one month and twenty-three days. She was born on May 26, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late James Thomas Hawkins and the late Myrtle Evelyn (Gibson) Hawkins. Survivors include her five children: Morton Leslie (Deborah) Kennedy, Sheila Kay (Robert) McCullough, Kathy Wallis, Lisa (TC) Harl, Amy (Dale) Pruitt; thirteen grandchildren: Tracy Kennedy, Heather, Holly Dosser, Tammy (Don) Noel, Joseph Boeke, Dawn McClanahan, Angie McCollough, David Hollinsworth, Wendy (Brent) Gant, Kara (Andy) Pashia, Christopher Harl, Josh (Bri) Pruitt, and Jacob Pruitt; thirty-three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Hawkins; nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and mother, Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers: Alvin, Leon, Clinton and John Hawkins. Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM and Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 9 to 11 AM at the DeClue Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2019 in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Posey officiating. Interment will follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
