Ruth Crockett, 83, of Rose Hill, VA passed away on the 11th of July, 2019, at her home. She was a native of Lee County, and was a daughter of the late Martin and Cornia Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Omer, Roe, Billy and Lloyd Thomas; three sisters, Ruby Jones, Bernice Scott, and Emma McConnell; and a special brother in law, Joe Crockett, who passed away on July 9th. She was a member of Faith Trinity Church. Ruth is survived by her husband, Harold Crockett; two sons, Eddie Crockett and Freddie Crockett and his wife, Sheila; three grandsons, Joseph, Daniel and Jordan Crockett; one great-grandson, Logan Crockett; sisters, Mabel Breden, Inez Keadle, Ina Oliver, Laura Hobbs and Bobbie Crockett; a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Verlenda Crockett. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at Robinette Funeral Home in Rose Hill. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Doug Hensley officiating.
