Harrison, Sr. 64, of Crow Creek, SD will be 1:00 pm Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall in Fort Thompson with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD. Wake services will be held Friday at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall in Fort Thompson. Ronald Terry Harrison was born May 12, 1955 to Paul and Roberta (McBride) Harrison at Chamberlain. He attended school in Fort Thompson and high school in Stephan graduating in 1973. In January of 1974, Ronald enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving until January 1976. After his discharge, he returned home and was united in marriage to Lynn Douglas on December 3, 1976 at Pierre, SD. Around 1979, he attended Vo-Tech in Mitchell where he received his degree in plumbing. With Lynn, Ronald made his home in Crow Creek and began working for the BIA. After working for the BIA for several years, he started a new job in maintenance with IHS where he worked until his health forced his retirement in 2015. He loved watching Chicago Bears and was their #1 fan. He enjoyed watching the Crow Creek Chieftains and enjoyed playing softball and teasing around. Ronald passed away on July 30, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 64 years. Gratefully sharing his life are his wife Lynn of Crow Creek, SD; his mother Roberta Harrison; seven children Michael Harrison of Brookings, SD, Matthew (Tracy) Harrison of Keystone, Teri (Marlin Ross) Harrison of Crow Creek, Ronald (Mary Jennesse) Harrison Jr. of Sioux Falls, Trisha Harrison of Brookings, Josh (Shannon Kaili) Harrison of Brookings, Pareese Harrison of Crow Creek; five brothers Eddie Harrison, Kurt Harrison, Arnold Harrison, Rex Harrison, and Gary Ross; four sisters Brenda Blair, Stacey Ortega, June Hayes, Norma Evans; 18 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father, two brothers Steve Harrison and Corbin Shoots The Enemy; and two sisters Barb Harrison and Paula Harrison.
