Roland’s Obituary Roland Lynn Zachary, 70, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, July 15, 2019. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Roland was born on February 2, 1949 in Henrietta, Texas to the late Roland Lester and Hazel Lucille (Hohenstein) Zachary. He was a 1967 graduate of Wichita Falls High School. Roland worked as a butcher at Piggly Wiggly grocery store, and had been and engineer with Burlington Northern Railroad. Roland enjoyed working with his hand, and helping others. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Glenda. Roland is survived by daughter Shay Lyn Veitenheimer of Saginaw; son Roland Zachary and wife Melissa of Wichita Falls; grandchildren Cadence, Caleb, and Noah Zachary; as well as his former wife, friend, and mother of his children Marcia Thomas.
