Robert’s Obituary Robert Raymond Wiley, “Bob” age 81 passed away peacefully on 7/9/2019 at 10:57 am at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash after a sudden illness. He was born in 1938 in Cleveland, OH to Howard and Norma Wiley and was a long time resident of Montgomery, OH. Bob is a 1965 graduate of Rocky River High School, then attended Denison University where he got his undergrad in teaching, and then went to University of Cincinnati for his master’s degree. In 1965, Bob married Anita Clark who passed away in March of 2016. He is survived by daughters, Lisa Sackett (John) Tricia Paddock (Brian) and grandchildren, Corinne Sackett, Bradley Sackett, Luke Paddock, Ryan Paddock, brother Bill Wiley (Pat) and nieces, and nephews, Jill Gill (Jim), Bob Wiley (Shelly) Janis McNeely (Wally) Bob began his career as 8th grade history teacher and coach at Princeton Junior High School. He was loved by his students and athletes and known for his out of the ordinary teaching methods. He coached football, wrestling and track. After early retirement from teaching, Bob and his brother Bill Wiley took over the family RV business. They were manufacturer reps for various RV companies. He traveled with his family in RV’s across the country and had a passion for this business. Bob had many passions in his lifetime. He spent a couple of summers as a lifeguard in Lake Geneva where he met a few lifelong friends. In college, Bob was very active in sports and was the captain of the track team and an active member of the fraternity Beta Theta Pi. After college, he enjoyed vacationing with his wife, children and grandchildren with annual trips to Venice, FL and Frankfort, MI. He was an avid tennis player at The Montgomery Swim Club and Harper’s Point and also enjoyed the game of golf with his Woodsman Group. Bob was an huge sports fan and would enjoy watching and attending just about any sport there was. His favorite was Ohio State Football. Bob will always be remembered as a unique, colorful, out of the ordinary guy who lived life on his terms. In his later years, he would be seen driving around in the WAZ mobile (his trailblazer) with his walkers, bike rack and cooler attached to the car. Anyone who ever met Bob will remember him fondly and have stories to share. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his neighbor. There will be a memorial service announced at a later date where memories and stories can be shared. Read More
