Robert E. Love, III, 88, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel, New Jersey. Robert was born on June 4, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York where he lived before moving to Hazlet, New Jersey in 1959. He was an Executive Manger for AT&T in Basking Ridge, New Jersey before retirement. He was also a proud United States Army Veteran who served our country during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his parents, Ellen (Barry) and Robert E. Love, II, and his first wife, Kathleen Mardenborough. Robert is survived by his devoted and cherished wife, Catherine H. (Burns) Love, his loving children, Colleen B. Love of Millsboro, Delaware, Robert E. Love, IV and his wife, Sandra Foley, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Colin T. Love and his wife, Tammy of Middle Smithfield, Pennsylvania, Richard F. Love and his wife, Lena Hermle, of Munchen, Germany, Kathleen P. Love of Hazlet, New Jersey and Sheila E. Love of Hazlet, New Jersey, his cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel J. Love, Caitlin L. Love, Tara M. Love and Ethan T. Love. Robert will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday, July 5, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, July 6, 2019 from 8:15 AM to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, July 6, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735. Interment will be on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562.
