Robert (Bob) Hinkle went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2019 unexpectedly. He was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and a graduate of Buckeye Valley High School and regularly attended Grace Brethren Church. He worked at Drivers Inc. where he worked for many years as a truck mechanic. He later worked for Quality Carriers as a truck mechanic also and retired from there. Along the way, he made many good friends and rescued many cats and dogs which became a very important part of his life. He continued to be an avid animal enthusiast clear up until the time of his death. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty Lou (Shaw) and Gerald Roy Hinkle, owners of Betty’s Fabric Shop in Delaware, Ohio. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Peggy) Hinkle, his nieces and nephews Amy (Jason) Ward, Mike (Shelley) Hinkle, Jenny (Wes) Whitehair, and Trevor (Chrissy) Hinkle. He had several great-nieces and great-nephews as well. Although Bob did not have any children of his own, the many pets he had over the years became his four-legged children. A grave-side service will be held for family and friends of Bob on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Radnor Cemetery, 4246 Radnor Rd, Radnor, OH 43066.
