Mr. Rinzer Dowdell, Jr. was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Rinzer (Rosa) Dowdell, Sr., on December 18, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was one of three children, (two sons and one daughter). He attended Brunetta C. Hill Elementary School and A. H. Parker High School. He confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age, joining Sixth Street Peace Baptist Church, under the pastorage of Rev. John Henry Stevenson. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Saint Vincents Hospital. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, a dear and devoted partner: Willie Mae Derrick; two sons: Roderick Dowdell and Rinzer Dowdell, III, both of Boston, Massachusetts; one daughter-in-law: Debra Dowdell of Boston, Massachusetts; one daughter: Patricia Ann Mayers-Deceased (Birmingham, Alabama); one sister: Rosemary D. Kelley of Birmingham, Alabama; one brother: James Carl Dowdell-Deceased (Birmingham, Alabama); one nephew: Eden Kelly, Jr. (Ashley R. Kelly), of Atlanta , Georgia; three grandchildren: Darrell Myers and Yolanda Myers of Birmingham, Alabama, and Deron Dowdell of Boston, Massachusetts; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. favorite_border Donations Pledges
