Rick Gene Creque, 71, of Lima, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2019, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 1, 1947, in Toledo to Lloyd and Reva (Smallman) Creque. They both preceded him in death Rick is survived by a his children, Josh (Georgie) Creque of Delphos and Michelle (Ed) Ezzelle of Delphos; two brothers, Blaine Caldwell of Maryland and Randy (Vicki) Creque of Michigan; two sisters, Janet Harestad of Michigan and Judy Lingerfelt of Maumee; grandchildren, Cole, and Gracie Creque, Jorden Boone, and Faith, Luke, Emma, and Chloe Ezzelle. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Emily, and a brother, Al; and brother-in-law, Ken. Rick was a Marine serving in Vietnam for two tours. After retiring as a car salesman, he worked for his daughter and son-in-law for ten years at Pat’s Donuts and Kreme. Rick will be remembered as a great baseball coach. He was always up for a good debate, and was a very faith filled, loving grandfather. He loved the Lord and his country. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery with Military Grave Rites by the Delphos Veterans Council. Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
