Kroll (know to his friends and family as Dick), 77, died on the 23rd of June, 2019, at his home in Deer Park, Washington. Dick was born on the July 24th, 1941, in Colville, Washington, to John and Bettie Kroll. He graduated with a B.S. in Police Science and Administration from Washington State University and a masters degree in Human Resources and Development from the University of Utah. He married Janet Kay Fogle on August 27th, 1961. They raised three children: Lisa, Lori and Jason. He joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and climbed to the rank of Colonel. After 22 years, he retired from the Air Force, went to work for Southern Air Transport, Comstock Air, and then eventually went to work for the City of Folsom, California, as a Code Enforcement Officer. Dick was an outdoorsman. He was most at peace when he was out in the woods, downing trees, cutting firewood, or just enjoying the solitude and comfort that nature afforded. He enjoyed being out in his shop, woodworking on various things and masterminding mechanical projects. He rebuilt not one, but two, Century Saber wooden boats. You could always find a book next to his chair…whether it be a Louis Lamour or a seafaring novel. Dick could fix anything and was always a go to for friends and family when there was a problem that no one else could solve. Dick had an adherence to his principles, whether others agreed with them or not. And he would not be diminished. Dick was a man of action. He was wired where he just had to accomplish something. He was a man whose loved ones would attest to the fact that he had a gruff exterior but on the inside was a person who cared very deeply. He is survived by his wife Jan, daughter Lori; her two sons Chad and Spencer; son Jason, his wife Tamara, and their two sons Logan and Colten; and his brother-in-law Dick; and his brother-in-law Duane. He is predeceased by his oldest daughter Lisa and his sister Pat. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. No services were held per his request.
