Richard L. Ackman, 72, of Ludlow passed away Saturday evening, July 6, 2019, at his daughter’s home in Falmouth. He was a retired welder for American Laundry and he served his country during Vietnam in the United States Air Force. Richard was a recognized race car driver. He collected arrowheads, baseball cards and he loved bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Rosella (Long) Ackman in 2007; daughter, Stacey Brookover in 2017; parents, Weber Lee and Margaret Stamper Ackman; sisters, Donna Slater and Debbie Sharp; and brother, Stephen Ackman. Survivors include daughters, Sherry (Darrell) Price of Falmouth, Terry Cozort of Falmouth and Denise Ackman of Ludlow; grandchildren, Amanda Parsley, Kacey Smith, Brett Price, Jamie Cozort, Jenna Cozort, Lauren Price, Sarah Ackman, Seth Ackman and Gabe Price; and great grandchildren, Levi Combs, Jasyn Combs and Harvey Parsley. Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2109 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown.
