Richard’s Obituary Mr. Richard Chavis, age 59, of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Mr. Chavis was born September 6, 1959 in Dillon County, SC. Mr. Chavis was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Jacobs; two brothers, Roy and Graylen Chavis; a sister, Pearline Oxendine. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Kim Chavis of Lumberton; his parents Ruth Jacobs Oxendine and R.J. “Jay” Oxendine of Fairmont; three daughters, Donna Stevens, Debbie Davis and Daphne Chavis all of Lumberton; one brother, R.J. Oxendine, Jr of Aiken, SC; three sisters, Cynthia Nealand of Shelby, AL., Sue Longtin of Fairmont and Melissa Branch of Lumberton; seven grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, July 26, 2019 from 1-2pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Funeral services will follow at 2pm in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel.
