Rev. Jerry’s Obituary Rev. Jerry A Freeland, 81, of Acworth, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Saturday morning in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Rev. Freeland was born in Gainesville, raised in North Georgia, and had lived in Acworth since the 1970s. He served in the Georgia Air National Guard and pastored the Acworth Church of God for many years. He was retired as a machinist from the Lockheed Martin Corp. Rev. Freeland was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila McAlexander and a granddaughter, Kristi McAlexander. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Freeland of Acworth; children, Joel Anthony (Arlene) Freeland and Alan (Susan) Freeland, both of Marietta and Sheree (Rodney) Davis of Cartersville; grandchildren, Andrea, Zachary, Elizabeth, Jesse, Brad, Kaleigh, Samuel, Natalie, Emily, and Elijah; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Billy (Sandy) Freeland of Austell and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Freeland of Dawsonville; sister, Juanita Gilstrap of Dawsonville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
