Gail Brown, 76, of Wildwood, FL passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at her mountain home in Hiawassee, GA. Mrs. Brown was born March 27, 1943 in Atlanta, GA to Eugene and Gladys (Bailey) Portwood. She moved here in 1972 from Decatur, GA. Gail retired from Sprint as a Purchasing Agent & Sr. Associate. She was Assembly of God by faith. Gail loved decorating, gardening and working on her mountain home in Hiawassee, GA. Survivors include her loving husband of almost 33 years, Fred; children, Angela & John Connell of Winter Garden, FL, Greg & Teresa McElroy of Wildwood and Craig & Janice McElroy of Longwood, FL; sister, Joyce & Jerry Tribble of Lakeland; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Gail was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth McElroy and her son, Chevis McElroy. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm, Sunday, July 14, 2019 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Interment will be in the Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
