Ralph Henry Goff, age 69, passed away on July 18, 2019 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah due to natural causes. He was the first of three sons, born on April 10, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Clive Goff and Else Kersten Goff. A single man, Ralph was a gay before being gay was fashionable. When Ralph was 8 his family moved from Bingham Canyon to Herriman. Graduating with honors from Bingham High School in 1968, Ralph went on to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology. Most of his career was spent as a journalist. He was passionate about writing for newspapers, and did so for a litany of papers from Jacksonville, FL, to Washington DC, to Blackfoot, ID, and finally back to Salt Lake City where he spent the last few years of his career writing for the Green Sheet in Murray. Ralph is survived by his brothers, Max K. Goff of Madison, MS, and Rex C. Goff, of Mountain City, NV, as well as Ralph’sadopted grandson, Michael Harvey, of Everett, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, who are certain to be there to welcome him home. A Celebration of Life for Ralph will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
