Mrs. Precilla Leslie, age 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019. She was born January 16, 1948 to the late Herbert Buchanan and Margaret Johnson. Precilla attended Harris High School and had worked at Tyson Food for over 25 years before becoming a caregiver. She was a member of the Believer’s Faith Fellowship and loved the Lord with all her heart. Those that knew her, knew that she would praise God, when no one else would. Precilla had a personality and most of all a laugh that would light up a room. Her hands were her gift, rather it be sewing, decorating homes or baking. All she had to do was look at a picture and the end result would be just like the picture. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Eddie Leslie and son, Eddie Cornelius Leslie. She is survived by her son, Steven Leslie, daughter, Latoya Leslie, brother, Gary (Valencia) Haile, sister, Helen (Chris) Dukes, two grandchildren, Varrion Leslie and Titus Leslie, one great grandchild, Karmeliya Leslie; step brother, George (Veronica) Buchanan, step sisters, Sarah (Charles) Garrett, Veronica (Jim) Teaque, Helen Thomas and Barbara Ann Wilson. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special cousin, Rita Burrell and the entire Leslie Family, which she loved dearly. Last but not least, her partner in crime and best friend, Ida Cannon. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Anthony Booker will officiate and Elder Jason Scales will serve as eulogist. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
