Phyllis “Polly”‘s Obituary Phyllis Pauline “Polly” Fry Pernestti, 70, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Wilgus, Ohio native was born February 27, 1949, the daughter of the late Jason Earl Fry and Gwendolyn Jewell Justice Fry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Frederick “Fred” Pernestti, who passed away July 20, 2009. Polly was a 1967 graduate of Symmes Valley High School and received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Ohio University Southern. She was a former employee of Wilson’s Sporting Goods and a retired Middle School Teacher (Intervention Specialist) at Rock Hill Schools. She was a proud member of the N.W.T.F. Women in the Outdoors and was also a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Wilgus. She is survived by: three sons: Larry (Lindsay) Pernestti of Kitts Hill, Ohio, Tony (Janice) of Delaware, Ohio, and Jason (Carla) Pernestti of Gallipolis, Ohio three brothers: Earl “Buddy” (Mickee) Fry of Willow Wood, Ohio, Darrell Fry of Willow Wood, Ohio, and Rick (Cindy) Fry of South Point, Ohio two sisters: Frances (Garland) Montgomery of Crown City, Ohio and Susie (Bub) Roush of Wheelersburg, Ohio four grandchildren: Lauren (A.J.) Beam of Ironton, Katalina Pernestti, Armani Pernestti, and Lorenzo Pernestti great grandchild: Dexter Beam two step-grandchildren: Jacob Smith and Jacob Lively special friend and companion: Larry Harper and numerous nieces and nephews Funeral Services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Wilgus Fairview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Neel and Garland Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Wilgus Fairview Cemetery and her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
