Pauline’s Obituary Pauline R. Arthur, 95 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Arthur was born in Crumpler, WV to the late Homer David and Bertha Cochran Rorrer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Arthur; sisters, Georgia Bailey, Ruth Ford, and Barbara Hylton; and brothers, David Rorrer and Charles Rorrer and infant brother, Cain Rorrer. Survivors include her children, Linda A. Burnette of Galax, Kathy Ann McLamb of Charlottesville, and Keith Jackson Arthur of Hillsville; grandchildren, Michelle Burnette (Jerry Webb), Emily B. Doane (Craig), Tori McLamb, Chad McLamb (Nichole), Jacob Arthur (Lisa), and Amanda Kent (Patrick); fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Clark of Bristol, VA, Vera Baily of Princeton, WV, Nellie Failey of Spainishburg, WV, Pat Hodges of Bluewell, WV, and Rita Collier of Temperance, MI; several nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsville with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
