Grandma “T” Mary Patrice (Lochhead) Eliason of Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 29, 2019 surrounded by her loving family of health issues. She left us way too soon but there is no other way she would have rather gone than with her family by her side in her last days. Patrice was born in Salt Lake City, UT on July 8, 1951 to John McDonald (Jack) and Bonnie Jean (LaLone) Lochhead. She married Kelly Reynolds Burningham in 1968 and had a son Clint Reynolds and a daughter Kimberly Rose, later divorced. Patrice then married Dean J. Eliason on February 7, 1987 and spent the remaining 32 years of her life with him. Patrice enjoyed family get togethers, sewing, ceramics and numerous crafts but most of all her children & grandchildren. To most Patrice was known as Grandma “T”. She was everyone’s Grandma! There is not a person she would turn away. Grandma “T” was the kindest, most giving and loving person around. If stranger asked her for help, she would go out of her way to help them even if it made her life harder. She will be deeply missed. She will always be remembered for her extreme kindness and of course we can’t leave out her stubbornness, that is who she was. She was named Woman of the Year by the Council of Catholic Woman’s Association from St. Joseph the Worker parish. Patrice is survived by her husband Dean, Clint Burningham (Emily) of Herriman, Kim Carson (Cory) of South Jordan, Trisha (Mike) Shaw & Brandie (Chuck) Canick, as well as four sisters and two brothers. Cathe Rogers (Terry) of Sandy, Michelle Lochhead of West Valley, Dianne Bodell (Chuck) of Herriman, Jackie Angle (Pat) of Guernsey, WY, John Lochhead of Sandy and Michael Lochhead (Christina) of Southborough, MA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was survived by 10 grandchildren Cassie, Chantry & Dallon Burningham, Kiersten (Jordan) Allred, Jade Risher, Harley Carson, Kaden & Waylon Canick, Christopher (Kaila) Shaw and Ashley Shaw and 3 great grandchildren Cora, Lily & Kellin. Preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Bonnie Lochhead, a sister Heather Lochhead and a niece Sadie Angle. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 6 – 8 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale, UT. A funeral Mass for Patrice will be celebrated on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Monday at the Church. Committal service to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and “T” street. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers of Elevation, especially Alissa, Pam and Laura.
