Olivia Whitehorn January 09, 1927 – July 03, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Olivia Whitehorn, the daughter of the late Carnell Garrett and the late Lillie Bell Sweeten, was born Sunday, January 9, 1927 in Cairo, Illinois Olivia was a member of True Believers Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and St. John’s AME Church in Kennett, Missouri. Ms. Whitehorn died Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 25 days. She is survived by 4 sons Sylvester Whitehorn and Tommy Whitehorn both of Alton, Illinois, James Whitehorn of Kennett, and David Whitehorn of Louisville, Kentucky; 3 daughters Carolyn Whitehorn of St. Louis, Missouri, Regina Ayers of Kennett and Teresa Carter of Blytheville, Arkansas; 2 brothers Lee Garrett of Los Angeles, California and Alphonso Garrett of Portland, Oregon; 2 sisters Minnie Taylor of Mississippi and Rose Garrett of Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 3 sons Bobby Whitehorn, Ralph Whitehorn and Richard Whitehorn; 3 brothers James Garrett, Kenneth Garrett and Gene Garrett; 2 sisters Eva Garrett and Maxine Dokes; and Best Friend Margaret Williams. Visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett with Funeral Services following at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Johnny Williams officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
