O.D.’s Obituary O.D Holt was born March 1, 1937 to Henderson and Tina Holt in Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life June 30, 2019 at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 29 days. He graduated from Bristow High School in 1955. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served four years. He then continued service in the Naval Reserve, Oklahoma Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve before retiring in 1997. On March 1, 1963 O.D Holt and Linda Carol Holmes were united in marriage. They enjoyed forty-nine years together until her passing March 12, 2012. From this union were born Tina and Scott. After he was discharged from the Air Force, he worked 30 years for Southwestern Bell until his retirement. He was co-owner of the Pirate Drive Inn and the Pirate carwash. He was active in the Bristow Jaycee club as well as many other organizations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as going dancing with his wife, family and friends at the Sapulpa V.F.W. on Saturday nights for many years. He was an avid fan of Hank Thompson and travelled to hear him play and sing any time he was close by. He even went on a country music cruise where Hank was headlining. He also enjoyed hanging out with his grandchildren attending as many of their activities as he could. He is survived by one daughter, Tina Brewer and husband Brad of Bristow; one son, Scott Holt and wife Angie of Mannford; one sister, Cordia Randall; grandchildren, Ashlei Lenski and husband Matt, Jordan Holt and wife Lauren, Alexzandra Brewer, Arieanna Brewer, Allie Brewer and Abbie Brewer; great grandchildren, Hayden Scott Holt, Lincoln Reid Lenski and one great granddaughter on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Ike, Tim and Ted Holt and one sister, Gladys Webb. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery. Read More
