Nora Mae Tracey of Grand Ledge passed away July 21, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Nora was born January 11, 1932 in Harrison, MI to the late Marion D. and Leona V. (Pailon) Sanderson. After high school, Nora’s first job was waitressing at Good Luck Restaurant in Harrison for twenty-five cents an hour. She also worked at the Clare Welcome Center, Gamble Hardware and Rexall Drug Store in Grand Ledge. Nora was former Girl Scout Leader, member of the Red Hat Society, actively involved in Grand Ledge High School Boosters and was also known for the donkeys and goats she used to raise. She is survived by children, Nancy Sanford, Michael Hoadley, Kelly (Michael) O’Connor, Patricia (Gary) Vandegriff and Kathy Jo Miller; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Kay Hoadley, Judy (Ed) Martin, Jack (Cindy) and Wesley Sanderson; companion, Frank Sturzt along with numerous nieces and nephews. Nora was preceded in death by son-in-law, Doug Miller; siblings, Dorothy Bond, Leo Burns, Harry Sanderson, Donny Sanderson, Edwin Sanderson and Marion Sanderson. A Celebration of Nora’s life with a luncheon to follow will be held Friday, August 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Grand Ledge New Life Assembly of God Church. Inurnment will take place at Summerfield Township Cemetery, Clare County, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Imagine This Church, 217 N.
