OBITUARY Noemi (Mama) Colon, was born on October 13, 1964 in New York to her proud parents Manuel and Isabel Colon and the amazement of her siblings Liz, Lucy, Marilyn, Manny and Michael. A devoted mother of Jay, Josh, Venus and Brandon and a grandmother to Josh Jr. Jullian, Jaylene, Scarlet and Lucas. Beloved auntie, cousin and friend to so many. On July 13, 2019 we lost our beloved Mama but she will never be forgotten by those who loved and knew her. We will miss her sense of humor, the way she can light up a room with just her presence, how she sang to us and how we loved to see her dance. She loved to dance. As early as three years old, she would dance and put on shows for our family. We could always count on her to lift us up and take us to a better place. As a mother and grandmother her relentless, unconditional love and guidance will live in the heart of her children and grandchildren. Her love of family will help us through this most difficult time. Let’s celebrate her beautiful life by remembering the beautiful moments that we shared with her, some will make us laugh, but most will make us feel blessed to have her in our lives. Mama was a fighter. All her life she fought for what she wanted. Whether it was love, happiness, a career, a family or her life, she fought hard. She was so special in so many ways to so many people. Mama has been there for everyone who came into her life. If you needed advice she always knew what to say. If you weren’t feeling well she knew exactly what to do. If you needed comfort she would open her arms and her home. Mama always told it like it was, she’d always try and guide everyone on the right path and whether you were wrong or right she wasn’t afraid to tell you. If anyone was ever broken she always knew how to fix them. She was an angel that touched our hearts and will remain a memory that we are blessed to have. Now God has one of the strongest soldiers on his team and she will continue to pray for us, fight for us and watch over us. Mama will remain unconditionally love and eternally missed.
