Vaughnsville, Ohio Nicetas “Cet” Q. Allen, 67, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. She was born April 2, 1952, in San Nicolas, Angeles City, Republic of Philippines, to Orlando M. and Adelina (Quiambao) Salanga. They both preceded her in death. She was married to Joe Joseph Allen and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2019. Cet is survived by her son, Jason Allen of California; her daughter, Jamie Allen of Vaughnsville, Ohio; six grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. She received her High School education along with a College degree in Education in the Philippines, where she taught English. Cet moved to America after marrying Joe, where she then attended and graduated from Lima Technical College, earning her Registered Nursing degree. She worked at both St. Rita’s Medical Center and Lima Memorial Hospital. Cet was an active member of the NOFAA, a group of her Filipino friends and a member of Our Lady of Fatima, prayer group. Joint services for Joe and Nicetas will begin at 4 :00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Father David Ritchie will officiate. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to NOFAA, 2878 Whippoorwill Ave., Elida, Ohio 45807 or to Lima Memorial Health Systems, 1001 Bellefontaine Ave., Lima, Ohio 45804.
