Bluefield, WV- Nancy L Shewey passed away On June 27, 2019 at her home in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry F Shewey and sons David W Shewey, Tom F Shewey and Robert C Shewey. She is survived by her son Michael B Shewey and his wife Soo also living in Bluefield, WV. Her grandchildren Sarah and Stephen live in California. Nancy was born in Adria, VA the daughter of Oscar M. Stevenson and Pearlie Mae Smith. Nancy became a Christian in late 1960’s in California during the Jesus Revolution. This outpouring of the Holy Spirit saw a countless number of souls saved and churches established worldwide. Until the day she passed to glory from the joys and sorrows of life, she remained an ardent worshipper and follower of her Lord Jesus Christ. Nancy also had many relatives including surviving sisters: Clara Edwards, Margaret (Leonard) Hall, Carol (Randy) Synan, Mary (James) Wallace, and Debbie (Bill) Beverly. Members of the family will serve as pallbearers. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Tony Reed officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 10:00 to 11:00. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
